Amazon Accelerate 2026: 7 Big Announcements for Sellers
Every September, Amazon invites thousands of sellers to Seattle for Amazon Accelerate, its yearly conference for independent businesses. It is where Amazon reveals the tools, programmes and policy changes that will shape the year ahead.
This year’s event was one of the most important in recent memory. Independent sellers now account for more than 60% of sales in Amazon’s store, and Amazon clearly wants to keep them close. Nearly every announcement had the same goal: to make Seller Central the single place where you run your whole business, even the parts that happen outside Amazon.
Below, we break down the seven updates that matter most, explain them in plain English and share what we recommend you do next.
The 7 Biggest Announcements from Amazon Accelerate 2026
1. Seller Assistant Gets a Memory and Starts Doing the Work
Amazon Seller Assistant began life as a chat tool that answered questions. It is now becoming a true assistant that can plan and act on your behalf.
The big changes are:
- Persistent memory. It remembers your pricing patterns, stock cycles and goals, so its advice becomes more personal over time.
- Always on workflows. You describe a task in plain language, set your limits, and it runs 24 hours a day. For example: “Alert me if any of my top 10 products falls below four stars.”
- You stay in control. You choose whether it only recommends or actually acts, and every action is logged.
Amazon says Seller Assistant already reaches more than 90% of its selling partners. For small teams, this could save hours every week on routine checks such as restocking, pricing and account health. That said, an AI tool is only as good as the rules you give it, which is why expert Amazon account management still matters.
2. Your Amazon Data Now Works Inside Claude and Amazon Quick
Amazon launched a new Selling Partner plugin that connects your Seller Central data to outside AI tools. At launch, it works with Amazon Quick and, in beta, with Anthropic’s Claude. It is available to US sellers on the Professional plan.
Once connected, you can ask about your sales, inventory and listing health without opening Seller Central. The plugin can even prepare changes to prices, titles and bullet points, and it shows a preview before anything is saved.
There are some limits worth knowing. The plugin does not cover advertising, works with one account and one marketplace at a time, and is not yet available outside the US. So it is a helpful assistant, not a replacement for a full Amazon PPC management strategy.
3. A Free Year of Amazon Quick Plus for Every Seller
This is the easiest win from the whole event. Every primary account holder in the world can sign up for a free 12 month Amazon Quick Plus subscription, as long as they claim it by 31 December 2026. You can also add two colleagues for free.
Amazon Quick is an AI workspace that can create documents and spreadsheets, carry out research and connect to your email, calendar and files. It also includes a visual workspace that pulls live seller data into financial and stock planning. If you sell on Amazon, there is very little reason not to claim it.
4. Manage eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop and Walmart from Seller Central
This may be the most surprising news of the week. Amazon announced new multichannel selling tools that let US sellers connect their eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop and Walmart accounts directly to Seller Central.
At launch, you will be able to:
- Connect your accounts on other platforms
- Import and link your listings
- See all your orders in one place
- Fulfil orders across every channel
The tools are free and are rolling out gradually over the coming months. Amazon says more than 95% of its independent sellers already sell on more than one channel, so this solves a real headache: too many logins, too many dashboards and too much copying and pasting.
Our advice is to start small. Connect one channel first, check how your data is handled and keep your own records outside Seller Central as well.
5. Prime Delivery Moves Beyond Amazon
US merchants using Amazon Multi Channel Fulfilment (MCF) can now offer Prime delivery and show the Prime badge on orders from their own websites, at no extra cost beyond standard MCF fees. Amazon says setup is about 70% faster than the older Buy with Prime integration.
Why does this matter? According to Amazon, 40% of Prime members are more likely to make a first purchase from a website showing the Prime logo, and 50% are more likely to buy again from sites that offer Prime delivery. For brands that already use Amazon FBA, this turns your existing stock into a faster, more trusted delivery promise everywhere you sell.
If you are building your own brand website alongside Amazon, a consistent look matters too. A professional Amazon storefront design helps your brand feel the same on every channel.
6. Selling Abroad Becomes Easier and Cheaper
Amazon also unveiled new global selling tools aimed at the biggest barriers to international growth: compliance, logistics and local demand.
- Expansion dashboard. One view of demand signals and the steps needed to enter new markets across the US, Europe and Japan, with more countries planned by the end of the year.
- One test for many countries. Sellers can submit a single product test that covers certification rules in several countries at once, starting with toys. Early pilot users reported compliance savings of up to 60%.
- Warehousing in more regions. Amazon Warehousing and Distribution has expanded into the EU, the UK and Australia.
For UK and European sellers in particular, these changes could make cross border selling far less daunting.
7. Smarter AI Comes with Clear Safeguards
A theme that ran through every AI announcement was control. Amazon’s new tools show you what they plan to do, wait for your approval when you ask them to, and keep a full record of every action.
This is important. AI can save time, but it can also make costly mistakes if it changes a price or a listing without a human check. The sellers who benefit most will use these tools to handle routine work while keeping people in charge of strategy.
What These Changes Mean for Amazon Sellers
When you step back, the message from Amazon Accelerate 2026 is clear. Amazon wants to become the operating system for your entire ecommerce business, not just one sales channel.
| Area | What Changed | What It Means for You |
| AI tools | Seller Assistant can remember, plan and act | Less time on routine tasks, more time for growth |
| Software | Free Amazon Quick Plus for 12 months | Powerful AI tools at no cost until the end of 2026 |
| Other channels | eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop and Walmart in Seller Central | One dashboard for every marketplace |
| Fulfilment | Prime delivery on your own website through MCF | Faster delivery and higher trust off Amazon |
| Global selling | Expansion dashboard and shared compliance tests | Lower cost and risk when entering new countries |
There is a balance to strike. These tools save real time and money, but they also make your business more dependent on one platform. The smartest sellers will use what helps, keep their own data safe and make sure the strategy is still theirs.
One thing has not changed. AI can read your numbers, but it cannot fix a weak listing or a poorly built ad account by itself. Strong foundations still win. If you want a refresher, our guide to Amazon ACoS vs TACoS explains which numbers your AI assistant should really be watching.
Your Action Plan for October
With Prime Big Deal Days starting on 6 October and the festive season close behind, here is what we suggest you do now:
- Claim your free Amazon Quick Plus year and choose the two colleagues who will get access.
- Try Seller Assistant in recommend only mode before you let it take any action on prices or listings.
- Set clear guardrails for any automated task, such as a minimum price or a maximum discount.
- Review your listings before peak season. AI tools and shoppers both reward clear, complete listings. Our Amazon listing SEO and conversion guide is a good place to start.
- Lock in your Q4 advertising plan. Use our Q4 Amazon PPC Prep Playbook to plan your budget from Prime Big Deal Days through to Christmas.
- Watch for the multichannel rollout in Seller Central if you also sell on eBay, Shopify, TikTok Shop or Walmart.
Final Thoughts
Amazon Accelerate 2026 showed that the way we sell on Amazon is changing quickly. AI is moving from answering questions to doing real work, Seller Central is turning into a hub for every channel, and Prime delivery is no longer limited to Amazon itself.
These are exciting changes, but tools alone do not grow a business. Results still come from the right strategy, clean data and careful decisions. That is where an experienced partner makes the difference.
